XEFI Agent
A desktop client deployed across entire IT infrastructures, reporting to the Hypervision monitoring platform.
About the project
The XEFI agent is a desktop client installed on every machine of a client’s IT infrastructure. Its job is to report data back to Hypervision, the monitoring platform those machines are supervised from.
I work on the agent itself and on the tooling around it. Shipping to a whole fleet means a bad update is expensive, so versioning, controlled deployment and the ability to switch a feature off remotely matter as much as the feature itself. Alongside the code, I take part in code reviews with the team, applying SOLID principles, and we work in Agile with our tasks tracked in Jira.
The codebase is private, so this page describes the problems solved and the technical choices rather than the source code.
